We are now taking entries for the 2008 Flat Competition - This year the Tote are introducing a few changes to the Flat competition including a later start date of 24 May.

Full details of the 500 horses are now available.

The basis of this year's syndicate will be as follows:

1. Entrants select their own 10 horses and send entry to the Tote using a syndicate name including the suffix NRC - for example my entry would be in syndicate named Phil Evans (NRC)

2. Once the entry is made in this way all members are agreeing to share any prize money as set out under point 4 below.

3. A copy of the entry form to be forwarded to syndicate administrator at the address below.

4. In the event of any entry winning prize money 50% will be retained by the entrant with the remainder shared amongst the other syndicate members

5. To claim a share of the winnings syndicate members should supply a copy of the Tote receipt for their own entry.

6. Prize money will be shared pro rata based on the total entry fees paid to cover the syndicate entries plus and substitution fees e.g. a member submitting two syndicate entries will receive twice the prize share out of a member who submits one syndicate entry.

7. Additional (non syndicate entries) should be submitted on separate entry forms by members (without the NRC suffix) to avoid any confusion.

8. Members are responsible for their own 'bonus selections' which must be reistered with the Tote during the bonus window (open between July 13-18th) - any changes should however be advised to the syndicate administrator.

9. A bottle of champagne (or preferred alternative) will be awarded to the member whose entry has the highest score of the syndicate group

Closing date for flat competition is confirmed as 8pm on Fri May 23rd.
