Welcome to the Northern Racing Club web site. The Club changed its name from NWRC to NRC w.e.f 2006
We are a non profit making organisation run by horse racing enthusiasts living in the North of England and North Wales, although we still have many members who have since left the region.
The club was formed in 1980 and we are now in our 29th year! As the club is not run for profit our annual subscription rate is kept to a minimum, currently only £10pa (plus £2pa for members at same address) which also includes a quarterly magazine and a discounted admission scheme to use at various racecourses in the UK. By taking advantage of the regular special offers available most members will fully recoup their membership fees as well!
Our activities are covered on the adjoining pages in more detail but the main reason for our existance is to enable members to get more enjoyment out of their sport by participating in club events including; - Regular club preview nights (Cheltenham, Aintree, Royal Ascot etc) with leading local racing professionals in attandance.
- Quarterly magazine/newsletter with members contributions welcome.
- Optional ownership groups (when sufficient demand exists) - flat/jumps syndications.
- Regular club competitions with valuable prizes to be won.
- Stable visits both locally and sometimes jointly with other racing clubs.
- Racing trips & holidays - often at discounted prices.
- Regular sponsored recedays at local courses.

In order to enable more members to participate in festival preview discussions the club has launched a new on line web site for on line previews at certain meetings.
The web site will be tested over the Goodwood Festival and if working ok will be used again for the York Ebor festival with guest pundits invited.
It is envisaged that the site will be live for 30-60 minutes each evening at 8pm before the next days festival racing covering the days racing a race at a time. If you miss the live previews the comments will still be available later to read.
Members are encouraged to register on the web site asap ahead of us going live by using the box below.
